ABOUT
What up! I go by D.Cure, and I am an Air Force veteran turned hip-hop artist. I use my music as a way to share my faith and to help others who may be struggling. I celebrated 11 years of sobriety in February of 2026, and I often talk about my journey (and struggle) to get sober and how God saved me from myself all those years ago. I am married to my wife, Erin, of 8+ years, and we spend most of our free time with our fur-kids: a cat named Penny and a dog named Peeve. Some of my favorite things to do when I'm not writing and creating are re-watching The Office, playing (and watching) tennis, and puzzling with Erin. I'm currently working on a project I'm calling "Albuphet" (aka the Album Alphabet project) where I create an album for every letter of the alphabet with each album title being 5-letters long. I've completed letters A-T so far. You can learn more about the project here.
LATEST NEWS
Tried is all about the Christian life and is the 20th album I've done within the Albuphet project!
It has features by @themarinerapper & @fever_waves and was mixed by @2probeats. All artwork was done by @mrekocanlas.
“Eye Logs” 🪵 and "Exist" 🦖 and "Everything But" 🤔 are a few songs off of the album that I released early.
"Eye Logs" is (of course!) about Matthew 7:3-5.
"Exist" is about how Christians do not exist in the world as everyone else, that we are to live set apart and set our eyes on the things of heaven. “They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.“ -John 17:16
"Everything But" is about seeking happiness in all the wrong places. @homefieldproductions filmed this music video!
This album is probably in my top 3 out of all of the Albuphet albums so far! Can't wait to hear what you think!
NEW MUSIC VIDEO OUT: "EVERYTHING BUT"
The official music video for "Everything But" is live!
"Everything But" is a song off of my upcoming album, Tried.
Shoutout to @homefieldproductions for this one!
7 artists, 5 producers, 1 engineer and 1 graphic designer. No AI needed! We are grateful to have talents and to be able to put them to use - no matter how difficult it may be at times. Music is about creativity, connection, & communication. It's not about doing the easy thing and allowing imaginary artists to take our place.
Thank you to the 13 other human beings who made this album possible!

This project was heavily inspired by Galatians 2:20 and Romans 6 — about dying to our old selves so that Christ can live through us.
“I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.” — Galatians 2:20 NASB
"...We know that our old sinful selves were crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our lives. We are no longer slaves to sin. For when we died with Christ we were set free from the power of sin... Do not let sin control the way you live; do not give in to sinful desires. — Romans 6:6–7,12 NLT
"This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!" — 2 Corinthians 5:17 NLT
That’s what Die to Self is about: denying ourselves, dying to our flesh, and becoming a new creation in Christ.
IN MEMORY OF CHARLIE KIRK
"No Land Is Free" is a song I wrote in honor of Charlie Kirk — a husband, a father, a brother in Christ who was taken from us far too soon. He was a man who stood boldly for Truth in a world that hates it.
Let's remember how Charlie lived. He lived bold. He lived unashamed of the gospel. He spoke truth with conviction and compassion. He has emboldened me to live the way he lived — with eyes fixed on Jesus and a heart fixed on eternity. Jesus is the only way. The only One who redeems every sin. The only One who gives eternal life. And He’s the only thing worth fixing our eyes on right now. Yes, we may lose followers. We may lose friends. But Jesus lost followers too.
“...Many of His disciples left, and would no longer walk with Him. So Jesus said to the twelve, 'You do not want to leave also, do you?' Simon Peter answered Him, 'Lord, to whom shall we go? You have words of eternal life.'” — John 6:66–68 NASB
So let’s rise up. Let’s be bold. Let’s not waste another day worried about what the world thinks. Let’s use our voices, our gifts, our platforms, whatever God has given us, to point people to the hope of the gospel. Because at the end of the day, it’s not about us. It’s not about followers. It’s about Jesus. Always has been. Always will be. Keep your eyes on Him.
All proceeds will go (and have gone) to the Kirk family.

ALBUM RELEASE: RISEN
Introducing Risen! ✝️ This album marks #18 of 26 from my Album Alphabet project. It's all about Jesus, but it’s also about rising to the call of His will for my life. It is by far the most biblical album I’ve done to date. I reference five different Bible verses in just one verse on my song, “Name’s Sake”.
You can stream the album on Spotify or Apple Music.
Jesus died for all, so that those who live would no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose on their behalf. (2 Corinthians 5:15)
This album is heavy boom-bap with a lot of biblical lyricism, but it also has a touch of some other genres. There is plenty of my signature sound, but you’ll find surprises along the way.
Thank You to our Father in heaven for dying that we might live. Thank You for not giving up on me when I was lost. Thank you to @2probeats for mixing & mastering this album. Thank you to @studiologanimagery for the album photo. Thank you @themarinerapper @brysoncreates @fever_waves @monstertarver & @heavens_tank for the features. Thank you to all the producers including @killavicbeats @anabolic_beatz @insanebeatz @daxhamma @jesseshirtsmusic and more!
Signed Risen CDs are available for purchase here. Other Risen merch available for purchase includes the "Hometown Tourist" and "Buried Talent" shirts. Both designs (thank you @lennyfrostdesigns for bringing these ideas to life!) go with songs on the album.
P.S. I had originally chosen to title the album "Reach" but really liked someone's "Risen" suggestion and pivoted.
